If you want to buy a good geyser 20 brands and at least 50 of their models and you will be confused. This is the right time to buy a best geyser in India and I will help you in this. This will save your money, time and this is my profession.
In this blog, I will show you a comparison of 15 liter models. You can also apply this comparison on 10 liter or 25 liter storage geysers, in which you can store water and heat it.
Top 5 Best Geyser in India in detail
Let’s dive into my top five geyser picks and the critical details about them:
1. Racold Omni Digital and Racold Andris slim
We have 2 models for number 1 position for same company Racold Omni Digital and Racold Andris slim. There difference between Omni Digital and Andris slim is Andris slim is a 20 liter model and Omni DG is a 15 liter model. Now you can choose which geyser you want to buy. Omni DG has 7. 5 bar pressure and Andris Slim has 8 bar pressure.
Is this a big difference? Let’s find out. If you live in a high rise building, I would recommend that you buy a geyser with 7 or more bar pressure. 7, 7. 5, 8, you can buy any of them. But avoid geysers with less than that. Because a geyser should have the capacity to hold that pressure. Because safety is the most important thing that you should care for. Racold Omni Digital comes with 4 star Rating and Racold Andris slim comes with 5 star rating.
It uses polypropylene material, which is a very good thing. It comes with Titanium plus technology, which means it have titanium steel tank with titanium enamel coating on the heating element. But in omni DG you get one additional thing which is silver ion technology.
Omni dg comes with touch control panel and along with that, you get a very awesome safety feature, which I saw for the first time in a geyser, and that is auto diagnosis. Let’s say, any type of internal fault occurs in the geyser, which you didn’t know about, your power supply is absolutely fine, or there is any problem in that, it has a chip which will automatically cutoff the power of geyser which is a fantastic safety feature.
Apart from this, you will get all the safety features in both the geysers. Like auto power off, children care mode and safety valve. Andris slim 20 litre model, weighs 12 kgs. And Omni DG, which is a 15 litre model, weighs 10 kgs.
Warranty
There is a slight difference in both the warranties. In Andris Slim, you will get a 2 years on product, 3 year warranty on the heating element and 7 year on tank. While OmniDG get and 2 years on product, 4 year warranty on the heating element and 5 year on tank. Andris Slim will cost you Rs 9, 500 right now and Rs 11, 200 will be cost for OmniDG. These prices can change right now.
Pros and Cons
Now let me tell you about their pros and cons. In my opinion, they don’t have any cons. I can only say that, I didn’t find fitting pipes in Andris Slim. Installation team also didn’t provide. Otherwise, you know, it could have been the best solution with no cons, But when you talk about pros, there are so many. I am really impressed with this self diagnosis feature. I have never seen this safety feature in any geyser.
Extra Features
Have you ever heard of a microchip that works on safety features? Dedicatedly in a geyser, which is a very, very good thing. Autocut off and other safety features are present in every geyser. Even if you buy a geyser worth Rs. 5000. But this feature is really exceptional. The titanium coating used in this is a premium and it really costs. But still, the cost has been kept in control by Racord and is one of the best. It is best well known brands in the heating, that they give the best quality.
2. AO Smith Series 15 geysers and AO Smith HSE-SHS-015 model
Again 2? Yes, there are 2 AO Smith geysers that are on my list of number 2. They were on number 1 till last year, but this year Could change and I am really happy with this model.
AO Smith Series 15 model will have 2kW or 3kW power options. But AO Smith HSE-SHS-015 model only comes with 2kW power. However, both series will have 8 bar pressure which is a very good thing. Both series are 5 star rated and both will have ABS plastic body. In both, you will see a blue diamond glass lined tank.
But where in Series 15, you used to get a glass coated incoloy heating element, in SHS, you will get a glass coated heating element. In Series 15, you will get a magnesium alloy anode rod, whereas in SHS, you will get a magnesium anode rod. What is the difference between the two?
Magnesium alloy anode rod will work more effectively in a little more salty water whereas the normal anode rod of magnesium will be a little less effective. This is the difference and this is a big difference where the water is more salty. That’s why you have to order this after thinking it over. In series 15, you get a temperature control knob, but in SHS, you don’t get it.
In both the geysers, you will get advanced POF insulation. You will also get safety features, like thermal cut off and safety valve, and ISI marking. But in SHS, you will also get IPX4 rating, which is not mentioned anywhere in A. O. Smith series 15. Both the A. O. Smith models weigh about 10 kgs, but there is a huge difference in their warranty.
Warranty
The brand gives you a 2 year comprehensive warranty on the SHS model, and a 2 year warranty on the heating element, and a 5 year warranty on the tank. Whereas, in the Series 15, you get a 2 year comprehensive, 4 year warranty on the heating element, and a 7 year warranty on the tank. And that is a Fantastic warranty package.
Now I’ll tell you the cost, which is also very good. The SHS model will cost you 7, 000 right now. Whereas in Series 15, there are two models. I told you about them. One is 2kW and the other is 3kW..
The 2kW Series 15 will cost you 10, 300, whereas the 3kW one will cost you 11, 500. The prices can change, so I have given the links to all the geysers in the description box and in the VM1 Geyser and Heater list. You can download it and check it out, because these geysers are really awesome.
Do you want to know their pros and cons?
Let me tell you. These geysers are really, really, really good. Both the geysers, i. e. Series 15 and SHS, both the models are really good. You won’t have any kind of problems with them. They are built from a fantastic ABS plastic body. And the quality of the glass tank in them is also very good.
You know, they charge you 400 rupees or as a, you know, as a return gift, they will charge you 400 rupees and give you two pipes. So, these pipes should have come in a box. They are charging a good amount of money. But, it’s okay, they are not giving it as, you know, the A. O. Smith ones, but that’s okay.
But if I tell you one more pro of this, that the magnesium anode rod that you get in this model and the magnesium alloy anode rod that you get in series 15, both are very, very, very effective.
Actually there are 2 geysers at number 3 in my list of Best Geysers in India, from the same brand
3. Havells Orizzonte geyser and Havells Adonia Spin
Actually, there are 2 geysers at number 3 in my list of Best Geysers in India 2023, both from the same brand.
I will give you the option you can decide whether you should take the horizontal geyser (Havells Orizzonte geyser) or the vertical (Havells Adonia Spin) one. Because the requirements of every house and every washroom are completely different. Horizontal geysers are very active today. Those which are vertical geysers, they take up more space, so you know better which one is best in terms of space in your washroom.
I can’t say much, but in this horizontal geyser (Havells Orizzonte geyser), you get a lot of features. That’s why, according to me, this is a better geyser, a better option. The rest is your choice. Anyway, let me tell you Havells Orizzonte geyser, you will get 2000 watts of power and it comes with 8 bar pressure. It come with 4 star rating and in the Havells adonia spin, you will get the same 2000 watts of power and 8 bar pressure, which is a good thing. It come with 5 star rating
It comes with a very solid and sturdy ABS body and many of you might be thinking, is there a better ABS plastic than metal? Actually, there is. How? Let me tell you. All the modern day geysers of today are made of heat safe materials like ABS plastic or metal. But I would recommend heat safe plastic geysers. Why? Because they are light in weight, but their properties are better. If you live in a coastal area, or in an area where it rains a lot, or if the water in your area is TDS, that is, very salty, then you should buy a geyser of a plastic body only.
Metal geysers can get rust on the outer body, and no brand will guarantee you that. So it is better to buy a ABS plastic body geysers in today’s world.
Havells Orizzonte geyser comes with feroglass coating technology(ie. glass line coated heating element). And if I explain this to you in simple language, then you have to understand that this heating element is glass coated, but it is of superior quality, that’s why it is called Incolloy Glass Heating Element and it is a very good thing. It comes with IPX4 rating, and you will also get to see Magnesium Anode Rod in it.
It also come with whirlflow Technology due to which the power consumption will not increase and that is a fantastic technology. With this geyser you also get a remote control with which you can turn the geyser on or off or increase or decrease the temperature and control all other features. And it is a good thing. I never thought that a geyser would have a remote control.
But this has a small remote control. You can keep it in your washroom. And, you know, what do I say? If you need this feature, then this is certainly the best geyser that you can buy today. And if don’t want to use a remote control, then the geyser’s body has a touch control panel with which you can adjust all the mode and temperature. And last but not the least, Havells has taken great care of safety and has provided you with a safety valve along with a shock proof plug, which is a very good thing.
Warranty
Havells Orizzonte geyser will weigh 13. 7 kgs while Adonia Spin weighs 9. 6 kgs. Both get warranty of 2 years comprehensive, 4 years on the heating element and 7 years warranty on the tank and have same safety features but Orizzonte geyser get more features than Adonia Spin.
Pros
These two are very good geysers. You get a lot of features in both of them. But in the Orizzonte, it has a remote control and has a little more safety features and it comes with a better tank technology ie. encoloy heating element. This is a very big thing for me.
Now, whether you need a remote control or not, but it is a feature. If you want to use it, then it is good. Otherwise, you know, you can use it from the digital control panel as well.
Cons:
The cost of Havells Orizzonte is 13, 500 rupees and Adonia Spin is 11, 000 rupees. These two costs are little more than the competition.
4. Crompton’s Arno Neo
Best geyser in India, which comes at number 4 on my list, is Crompton’s Arno Neo, which is 15 liter model, having 2 kilowatt, and 8 bar pressure. And it is too good. Crompton’s star rated and comes with a metal body.
And it uses nano polyband technology, which increases the life of the tank. And, you know, we don’t have any instrument or meter to check this out. But if the brand is saying, Crompton brand has used a superior heating element of 1200 grams, which is believed to heat the water faster and last longer. And in this, you also get to see a magnesium anode rod.
This geyser comes with a temperature control knob, and in the safety features, you get a multifunctional safety valve. Auto cut off feature and ISI certification which is a very, very good thing.
Warranty
This model of Crompton weighs around 10 kgs and the brand will give you a 2 year comprehensive warranty, 2 year warranty on the element and 5 year warranty on the inner tank.
Price
It will cost around Rs 6, 000 approx.
Pro and cons
Best value for many features, particularly this safety features comes with magnesium anode rod. But it misses out on a few things. For example, it doesn’t have a glass lined tank or glass lined element. Because of this, I have already told you that it is not suitable for salty water.
If you have high TDS water in your area, don’t buy this geyser. Buy something else. And let me explain one more thing to you. Wherever such water comes, avoid metal body geyser, and prefer BS plastic body geyser. But otherwise, if your budget is low and the water in your area is very soft, then go for this one.
5.Bajaj Shakti 15-Liter Geyser
Starting with Bajaj’s Shakti model, this 15-liter geyser powerhouse offers good value for its 2000-watt power element and ability to withstand 8-bar pressure. Its titanium glass-lined coated steel tank is crucial if you have hard water, protecting the steel from rust and extending its lifespan.
In which you can see a titanium glass lined coated steel tank. I said, titanium glass lined coated tank. What does it mean? And why is it necessary in a geyser? I’ll tell you now. If you
have hard water at home, which is salty water, and the TDS of that water is very high, then you should never buy a geyser that only has a steel tank. You should buy a titanium glass lined coated tank because it will protect your steel tank from rust and will increase the life of the geyser. You have to also make sure that the geyser has an anode rod.
Anode rod is a self sacrificing rod that is made of many materials. Alloy, magnesium alloy, magnesium, and there are different types of rods. But I will tell you about a good rod along with every product. And because of the hard water, that anode rod will be self sacrificed and will always protect your geyser.
In this geyser, you get a temperature control knob and in safety features, you will also get a 4 in 1 multifunctional safety valve.
Since last year, it has been 4 star rating instead of 5, the star rating has changed. This is the only difference in these 2 years. Otherwise, the model is the same. But one thing that Bajaj hasn’t changed even today, the small con that I told you about last year as well, is that, their glass line is a tank, but the glass line is not an element.
The element of copper that they have given is good, but that is not a glass line. So, it doesn’t become a perfect geyser for such areas, The place has very high TDS water, that is, it is very dry water, it is not perfect for that place. But yes, it’s a value for money geyser, this is a good thing, that if your budget is less, then you can buy this geyser, without hesitation.
Warranty
This is a good thing in geysers. This geyser from Bajaj weighs 10 kgs and the brand gives you a 1 year comprehensive, 2 year warranty on the element and 5 year warranty on the tool. Now, uh, let’s talk about its pros and cons, but before that, let me tell you the price.
Price
It will cost you Rs 6, 000 approx.
Concluding Thoughts
